All about Slot Machines

Liberty Bell had three spinning reels with hearts, spades, and diamonds and picture of a cracked Liberty Bell painted on each of them. The popularity Liberty Bell got in a short period of time was huge and much more than expected, which forced the inventor to team up with another manufacturer to supply new mechanical slot machines to casinos around the world.
Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas was the first casino to incorporate mechanical slot machines in 1940. Though the owner installed these slots with an idea that I could be a good source of entertainment for bored housewives of some of the richest customers of the casino, little did he know that these slots would be a fun activity for everyone in town apart from entertaining bored housewives.
Today, slot machines attribute to over two thirds of all revenue generated by casinos throughout the world. Slot machines definitely have a rich history and have evolved a lot. From the small and inadequate invention of the 1800’s to the multi-million dollar industry of today, slots will continue to evolve and the popularity of these would surely grow.. |
